Tech job fair today

Communitech will be holding a job fair from 5 until 7pm today in the Regent Room at the Waterloo Inn.
Desire2Learn, Christie Digital Systems, OpenText and Manulife Financial will be among some of the 35 companies at the Tech Jobs+ Recruiting Event.
The event is focused on filling some of the almost 1,000 tech jobs currently open in Waterloo Region. Desire2Learn alone is looking to fill 200 positions.
The President and CEO of Communitech, Iain Klugman says Waterloo Region currently has 400 new start up tech companies, up 300 from the year before.
He also says the entrepreneurs vary in age, however people who have been in the business longer are usually more successful.
