Wind warning issued

Environment Canada has issued wind warning for Waterloo Region.

We could see wind gusts of between 60 and 100km/h, starting tonight.

570 News Weather Specialist, John Wilson says hurricanes would normally turn right, adding Hurricane Sandy will instead make a left turn.

Wilson is predicting some wind damage that may down some trees. He also says we could receive 50 to 75 millimetres of rain in three days.

Meantime, The Great Lakes could see seven-metre-high waves, while large waves are also expected along Nova Scotia’s south shore.
