A tentative agreement has been reached between the City of Cambridge and the union representing around 130 of its inside workers.
No further details on the deal will be released until it has been ratified.
The workers, members of CUPE Local 1882, could have walked off the job as early as this morning.
The workers, described as frontline staff, had been working without a contract since the end of last year.
