Fire in Guelph

Guelph Fire and Guelph Police are investigating after an apartment building fire at 120 Edinburgh that displaced between 45 and 60 people.

Sgt. Doug Pflug tells 570 News the Red Cross and Victim Service Wellington were dispatched to the scene to help, “There have been no injuries to any of the tenants from the building, but our reports are one firefighter was transported to hospital.”

Pflug says it took a response from all five of Guelph’s fire stations to bring the fire under control.

The building suffered extensive damage. A cause and damage estimate are not yet available.
