Record Breaking Heat!

The local high temperature record dating back close to a century has been shattered.
The high yesterday was 35.8 degrees, breaking the old mark for that date of 34.4.
That benchmark stood since 1916.
Yesterday was also the hottest day so far this year.
As well, barring a significant change in conditions, this will likely go down as the hottest July since 1988.
