Looking to save on light rail trains

The Region hopes buying in bulk with save it some big money.
Council has voted to have staff begin negotiations with Metrolinx in Toronto to help it land its new light rail trains.
The idea is to secure a discount by piggybacking the existing deal Metrolinx has with Bombardier, which is building its fleet of light rail trains.
The Region hopes this will save it millions of dollars and help it come in under budget for that part of the LRT project.
