Round Two underway at Grey Silo in Waterloo

The first-ever Manulife Financial LPGA Classic continues today at Grey Silo Golf Course in Waterloo.

The first groups started round one at the 1st and 10th holes at 7:15am on Thursday but a large portion of the field failed to finish their first round due to inclement weather.

Florida’s Sandra Changkija currently holds a three stroke lead at 8-under after a blistering 63 on the opening 18.

London, Ontario’s Lindsey Smith became the first Canadian to tee off in the four day tournament, however
Smith struggled in her first 18 and closed the round at 9-over.

Hamilton’s Alena Sharp is currently the top Canadian at one-under (she’s tied for 24th spot), while Lori Kane finished her round at even par after a 71.

Fan favourite Michelle Wie closed her opening round at 1-under.
