Regional Police have identified a 52-year-old woman who was struck and killed over the weekend in Waterloo.

Vicki Vogel, from Waterloo, was hit Saturday afternoon, walking across the street at Fischer-Hallman and Erb Street.  Police say it was outside of the crosswalk area.

Vogel was transported to a Hamilton hospital where she later died from her injuries.

Erb Street West was closed for 3-and-a-half hours as police investigated.

They are still appealing for witnesses.
