Kitchener Assault Victim’s Condition Improves

The condition of a Kitchener man who was assaulted at a Queen Street South apartment on Friday night is improving.
Regional Police say the 20-year old was taken to a Hamilton hospital with life-threatening injuries after being hit in the head with a baseball bat during an altercation.
Investigators say just after 9:00pm, a fight broke out between two men, and quickly escalated after two other men armed with weapons jumped in. The victim was struck in the head with the bat and suffered a serious head injury.
Authorities have arrested and charged three suspects.
A 24-year old man from Kitchener was charged with aggravated assault, 2 counts of assault with a weapon and assault causing bodily harm. A 19-year-old Kitchener man has been charged with assault and mischief under $5000 and the third male suspect was charged with 2 counts of breach of probation.
