Ride of Your Life

More than a dozen members of the Waterloo Regional Police Service take to the roads today in their fight against cancer.

They’re participating in the “Ride of Your Life” tour – a 600 kilometre bicycle trek that will end in Ottawa on Sunday.

It’s the third straight year they have taken part, raising money for the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre, which is where they set out on their journey this morning at 8:15.

They are also raising awareness about the Canadian Police and Peace Officers Memorial, which is where they will hook up with officers from across the country on Sunday.

Also along for the long ride is Grand River Hospital’s Vice President of Cancer Services, Doctor Craig McFadyen.
