The United Way of Cambridge and North Dumfries puts the wraps on a record-breaking fundraising campaign.
It reports this year’s campaign raised just over $2.7-million – the most in the organization’s 70 year history and $20,000 more than their goal.
The United Way says a number of donations came in on the eve of the campaign wrap up helping them surpass their goal.
Volunteer Campaign Chair Sara McLennan admitted “At this time last week I was nervous. We faced a significant gap and I was worried we would fall short of our goal. Well a lot can happen in a week!”
