Secret Santa Toy Drive – Important update for 2020

The team at 570 News want to thank you for the love and kindness you have shown in previous years supporting our Secret Santa Toy Drive. The holidays are always a special time, when traditionally, friends and family gather in celebration. Obviously, 2020 will bring a different kind of Christmas. Many families will have to hold virtual celebrations, and for others, the pandemic has meant further financial stress. The fact is, many children in our community won’t have much to open Christmas morning. This year COVID-19 has impacted how we coordinate the Secret Santa Toy Drive. You can still help. Your local Salvation Army branches are once again collecting toys for children in our community.
As we maintain physical distancing, the public is encouraged to place online toy orders at any online vendor and have them shipped to your local Salvation Army. Alternately, toys can be dropped off at your local Salvation Army office, or you can call to arrange pickup. Many offices are asking that you call ahead, as their offices are not open to the public.
Of course, online monetary donations are always most welcome. Help make this holiday season one of the brightest yet, and make your donation today.
