Grains mostly lower, livestock mixed

CHICAGO — Grain futures were mostly lower Wednesday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for July delivery was up .40 cent at $5.4340 a bushel; Jul corn fell 6.80 cents at $4.4460 a bushel; July oats was off .60 cent at $2.7340 a bushel; while July soybeans lost 7 cents at 9.00 a bushel.

Beef was higher and pork was lower on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

Jun. live cattle was up .68 cent at $1.0830 a pound; Aug. feeder cattle rose 1.70 cents at $1.3350 a pound; Jun. lean hogs was off .58 cent at .7380 a pound.
