Want to check out some of the best restaurants and eateries in Uptown Waterloo, but don’t want to break the bank?
Well, you’re in luck — as the Solstice Sampling Summer Night Crawl is happening Saturday night.
Natalie Gallo is Marketing and Communications Liaison with the Uptown Waterloo BIA. She says the format has undergone a bit of a makeover for 2018.
“The format has changed from the last couple of years, so it’ll be a bit of a new experience for everybody. In the past, we’ve invited restaurants into the public square to serve samples, but we’ve found that logistically a bit difficult. So this year, we’re inviting guests to purchase a $40 ticket, which gets you a sample at 10 participating restaurants — and we’ve called it a ‘Summer Night Crawl’, so you’re actually going around to all the participating restaurants.”
Gallo says there will also be entertainment at Waterloo Public Square — including music, dancing and a magician.
She adds there will truly be something for everyone, and it’s a great opportunity to check out some of the gems in our Uptown core.
“It’s all about creating an experience, and making Uptown Waterloo a place you want to come back to, and one you want to spend time in!”
The event runs from 5 p.m., until 9 p.m., and participating restaurants include Beertown Public House Waterloo, Proof Kitchen/Lounge, Harmony Lunch, Q’s Cakes & Cafe, Lou Dawg’s Waterloo, Scoop Du Jour, McCabe’s Waterloo, The Pub On King, Patent Social and Zoup! Uptown Waterloo.
