Rangers Nation officially has something to look forward to!

The OHL is out with its full 2018-19 schedule, after giving fans a glimpse into the upcoming season on Monday by releasing each team’s home opener.

The Kitchener Rangers will open an action-packed season against the Flint Firebirds at home. Puck will drop at 7:30 p.m., at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium on Sept. 21st.

It will mark the first of 34 home games this season, with the East Avenue Blue hosting a rival at The Aud on five Tuesdays, 22 Fridays and seven Sundays.

That will include five special event nights: Oktoberfest Night, the Remembrance Day Jersey Auction, the Teddy Bear Toss in December, a New Year’s Day game, and a Fan Appreciation Game in March. Firm dates will be finalized later this season.

As for their busiest month of the year, the Blueshirts will play 13 games on the road in February, while November and January will see the most action on home ice with seven games played in each.

The Rangers will go head-to-head against the Owen Sound Attack in eight contests, all to be played after the holiday break — unlike last season that saw the divisional rivals face off six times before Dec. 28th.

Also of note this season — there’s a new hashtag to use on social media to join the conversation on all things Rangers Nation, #RTown.
