Sentencing begins for local man convicted for $10M in fraud

The Crown Attorney’s Office in Kitchener is seeking the maximum jail time for a local man convicted of defrauding his victims out of millions of dollars.
Crown Fraser McCracken tells 570NEWS they’re seeking 14 years behind bars for Daniel Reeve, whose sentencing hearing began Monday.
That sentence would not include time already served by the former financial planner who operated a business based in Cambridge. .
Reeve was arrested on fraud charges by Regional Police in 2012.
Forty-one clients were bilked out of $10-million.
The sentencing hearing is expected to last one week.
