Kiwanis Park reopens for fourth annual Neighbours Day

Beautiful sunshine on Saturday will be just right for the re-opening of the Kiwanis Park pool in Kitchener.

It was closed all last summer for a large reconstruction project, including an upgrade to the filtration system.

This is all part of this year’s Neighbours Day celebration.

For the reopening, admission to the park and pool are free on Saturday, and there will be activities, games — and what’s a pool party without cake?

Mayor Berry Vrbanovic and dignitaries will also unveil a new plaque and say a few words at noon.

Neighbours Day aims to connect locals and strengthen relationships within your neighbourhood through almost 40 events across Kitchener.

City-run events will also take place Saturday at community centres and the Kitchener Market.

Thousands of people are expected to attend the fourth annual Neighbours Day — and celebrate all that is vibrate and diverse in their city.
