Buddy League Canada celebrates Opening Day in Cambridge

It’s a historic day for our local adaptive sports community — thanks to Buddy League Canada!

Buddy League is celebrating its big opening day at Saginaw Public School in Cambridge on Saturday morning.

570’s Mike Farwell will be there to emcee the event — and officials including Cambridge Mayor Doug Craig and WRPS Chief Bryan Larkin will also be on hand.

In a release, organizer Cam Linwood says, “This spring, Buddy League will take to the field in Cambridge for the first time ever, and what a celebration it will be. Every player, volunteer, fan and sponsor will play a part in making this an opening day to remember.”

If you want to show your support, Opening Day runs from 11 a.m., until 1 p.m.
