The Ontario Hockey League will hand out the hardware on Wednesday afternoon.

The league’s annual awards ceremony starts at noon at the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto. You can watch it on Facebook Live.

A pair of players from Kitchener will be presented with awards.

Nic Hague of the Mississauga Steelheads will pick up the Max Kaminsky Trophy as Defenceman of the Year.

The Vegas Golden Knights prospect racked up 78 points in 67 games this past season.

Hague’s Steelheads teammate, Stephen Gibson, won the Roger Neilson Memorial Award as Top Academic University Player.

It is the second straight academic honour for Gibson, who has done well in his business courses at Ryerson University.

Meantime, Guelph Storm captain Garrett McFadden will be presented with the Dan Snyder Memorial Trophy as Humanitarian of the Year.

McFadden won the award for a second straight season with the continuation of his program “McFadden’s Movement” in support of youth mental health awareness.
