NHL’s Golden Knights sign Waterloo’s Ben Jones

Waterloo’s Ben Jones has put pen to paper with the NHL’s expansion Vegas Golden Knights.

The 19-year-old signed a three-year entry level deal with the team over the weekend.

Jones was a seventh round pick (189th overall) of Vegas in the 2017 NHL Entry Draft.

He put up 79 points in 68 games with the OHL’s Niagara IceDogs this past season.

Jones also had 12 points in ten playoff games.

“Extremely excited to announce that I have signed my first NHL contract with the Golden Knights. Huge thanks to everyone who has helped me get to this point in my career!” Jones said in a tweet.
