By News Staff

Police have released new surveillance video of two suspects fleeing after a bombing at a Mississauga restaurant last week.

The video shows the suspects running toward the intersection of Thornwood and Forum drives, near Hurontario Street and Eglinton Avenue East, and it appears one is almost hit by a car.

Police are asking the driver of that vehicle to call them.

Fifteen people were injured when an improvised explosive device went off in Bombay Bhel restaurant on the evening of May 24.

Two birthday parties were going on at the time and children were in the building, but none were hurt.

Those injured, who ranged in age from 23 to 69, had all been released from hospital by the following afternoon.

Police said they will be canvassing the public from a command post in the area from Thursday evening to Friday morning.

The first suspect is about five feet 10 inches to six feet tall with a stocky build. The suspect was wearing dark pants, a dark-coloured hoodie pulled over the head, and a baseball cap, and the suspect’s face was covered with dark material.

The second suspect is about five feet 10 inches to six feet tall with a medium build. The suspect was wearing blue jeans, a dark-coloured hoodie pulled over the head and the suspect’s face was covered with dark material.

Police said they believe one suspect is a man and the other is a woman.
