Man tries to lure young boy into vehicle: Guelph Police

Police are appealing for witnesses after an attempted abduction in Guelph.
Public Information Officer Josh Frasier says the alleged incident happened on Thursday, around 4:40 p.m.
“Guelph Police were called to the area of Alice and Huron Street, in regard to a suspicious vehicle. At this point in time, a male who was driving the vehicle attempted to lure a young boy into his vehicle.”
Frasier calls the ‘interaction’ concerning to police, and says they’re on the hunt for information as the investigation continues.
The suspect driver is described as a white, heavy-set male. He was wearing glasses, a black shirt, and black shorts.
The involved vehicle is described as a red, older model Dodge Caravan – with rust around both passenger-side wheel wells.
