Advanced Voting polls open up today ahead of the June 7th provincial election

We’re quickly approaching June 7th, the date for Ontario’s Provincial election.

But starting today, you can cast your vote as advanced voting polls open up.

If you’re older than 18 and have a piece of identification confirming your address in Ontario, you can cast your ballot.

Cara Des Granges with Elections Ontario says they’re trying to make the process simple.

“We’re just trying to make it as easy as possible for electorals to make it out and vote and remove those barriers.”

Des Granges says before you head out to the polls, just to make sure all the information you have is accurate.

“Electoral Districts have changed since the last provincial election. We have 124 districts this year as opposed to 107 last time. So it is possible your voting location and district may have changed. If you’re not sure, you can head to our website elections.on.ca and put in your postal code and it will let you know if it has changed.”

Advanced polling is available up until Election Day, which is under two weeks, on June 7th.
