New regional survey aimed at making community happy and healthy

The Wellbeing Waterloo Region survey has been released online to better understand what change is needed the most.

Mike Murray, CAO for the Region of Waterloo, says the survey is a way of getting input from members of the community.

“Sixteen organizations have pooled together and are sponsoring the first ever Wellbeing Waterloo Region Survey,” he says. “That’s life right now, and the input that we gather will help shape the priorities for all 16 of our organizations”

The survey is based off an approach that was developed at the University of Waterloo known as the Canadian Index of Wellbeing. This approach focuses on eight different areas, some of those areas include: healthy population, leisure and culture, environment and community vitality.

Everyone is encouraged to fill out the survey online.

The survey takes about 30 minutes to complete and will be available until June 10th.
