It’s a special Mother’s Day for baseball fans in Waterloo Region.

The Kitchener Panthers (1-1) host the London Majors (0-1) in Intercounty Baseball League action at Jack Couch Park, Sunday afternoon.

The Panthers looked solid in Burlington yesterday, nabbing their first win of the season 6-0 over the Herd.

Christian Hauck got the win on the mound, pitching a complete game, two-hit shutout.

He struck out 12 batters while Keegan Marsden paced the offense, going 3-for-5 with three RBI.

First pitch Sunday afternoon just after 2 p.m.

And since it’s that special day for mom, mothers and children under 13 years of age get in for free.
