The Kitchener Rangers will be looking for a boost from the home crowd on Monday night.

They trail the Greyhounds 2-0 in the Western Conference Final, but were able to keep things close in both those games.

Rangers head coach Jay McKee says he wants his leaders to take the spotlight

” We’re challenging them. They need to be a little more tenacious and have that high-end effort right from the start of the game”.

Kitchener fell in the opener 3-2, the winning goal coming with less than a second to play in the game.

On Saturday, the Soo won 4-2.

The Rangers had a goal called back after video review determined Kole Sherwood was offside. But Kitchener’s coaching staff had a different take. “We looked at [the video.] We took a picture of it. It’s clear as day his foot is onside,” said Rangers head coach Jay McKee.

570 NEWS has Game 3 starting at 6:35 p.m.

Kitchener will also host Game 4 on Wednesday.
