Photos released after man grabs young girl in Kitchener

Regional Police have released photos of a male suspect after a concerning incident involving a child in Kitchener.

It happened early Tuesday night at the intersection of Queen and Weber, as a couple and their 10-month-old daughter were waiting for a bus.

The child was playing nearby when a suspicious man approached, and picked up the young girl.

The mother was able to grab her daughter, and the suspect was last seen taking off towards the Kitchener Public Library.

Police say the suspect is described as a black male, around six foot, and 160-170 lbs. He was last seen wearing a grey or black trench coat, a tan scarf with a checkered pattern, and a hoodie covering his head.
