Police investigate suspicious fire at New City Supermarket in DTK

Regional Police say a fire at the New City Supermarket in downtown Kitchener is considered suspicious.
Crews were called to the blaze at 236 King Street East on Tuesday morning around 7 a.m.
Flames were discovered at the rear loading dock off Market Lane – but luckily, the fire was quickly extinguished.
No one was injured in the incident, and damage is estimated to be about $1,500.
The fire is believed to be suspicious, and anyone with information is urged to contact WRPS at 519-570-9777 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
