Rangers host the CHL’s top dog on Friday

Friday night’s match up at The Aud could be viewed as a statement game for the Kitchener Rangers.

They will play the number one ranked Soo Greyhounds for the final time in the regular season.

570 NEWS has the pre-game show with Mike Farwell and Chris Pope at 7 p.m.

The Greyhounds are 3 and 0 against the Rangers, two games were decided by a goal, the other was an 8-2 blowout in the Soo back in November.

Kitchener, now fifth in the CHL rankings, locked down the Midwest Division title on Tuesday and have won their last two heading into this one.

The Soo are coming off just their seventh regulation loss of the season in Windsor on Thursday night.

Meantime, still no word on the expected suspension for Givani Smith. He made contact with one of the officials during Tuesday night’s game against Sarnia.
