Waterloo man charged with first degree murder and kidnapping in death of 16-year-old

A Waterloo man has been charged with first degree murder, kidnapping, and forcible confinement in connection to the death of a 16-year-old in Windsor.

The boy’s body was found on February 14 around 7 a.m., in an alley on Church Street.

Police say witnesses reported hearing a possible gunshot in the early morning hours, investigators determined the cause of death was a gunshot wound, however police have not yet recovered a weapon.

Officers say evidence obtained during an autopsy of 16-year-old Chance Gauthier of Windsor lead police to classify the investigation as a homicide.

20-year-old Mal Chol, of Waterloo was arrested in Windsor on Saturday February 18, 2018.

Police are still searching for 19-year-old Nouraldin Rabee of Windsor in connection to this incident.

Rabee is described as being 6’2, 150 lbs, with black hair and brown eyes. He is considered armed and dangerous.

Police are asking the public not to approach Rabee, call 9-1-1 if he is seen.

Investigators believe the two were known to the victim, and that this was a targeted attack.
