Police investigate Friday night stabbing at Cambridge ‘dance party’

Regional Police are investigating after a stabbing in Cambridge just before the Family Day long weekend.

It happened around 11:20 p.m. Friday at a ‘dance party’ on Ainslie Street North.

Police say there was an altercation, and a 20-year-old man was stabbed in the lower right side of his back.

He was taken to a local hospital for treatment, and is in stable condition.

Police continue to appeal for witnesses, but say an 18-year-old man has been charged with aggravated assault and assault with a weapon.
