Pair of OHL players from Waterloo off to World Jr. selection camp

By Blair Adams and Sportsnet Staff

Waterloo’s Logan Stanley and Boris Katchouk could be wearing Team Canada red over the Christmas break.

Stanley, who patrols the blueline for the Kitchener Rangers and Katchouk, who’s having a career year with the Soo Greyhounds, both got an invite to Canada’s selection camp on Wednesday.

28 of the 32 players who got the call play for teams in the Canadian Hockey League.

The camp begins on Tuesday in St. Catherines.

During the selection camp, Canada will play three exhibition games: Dec. 13 and 14 against a collection of USports all-stars and Dec. 15 against Team Denmark.

Here is the full list of players invited to the selection camp. The final roster is expected to be announced on Dec. 15. After that, Team Canada has two more pre-tournament games in London on Dec. 20 against the Czech Republic and in Hamilton on Dec. 22 in Hamilton.
