The flu is here: cases of influenza reported in Waterloo Region

Flu season is officially here.

Region of Waterloo Public Health is already reporting cases of the flu hitting our area.

So far, there have been three cases of Influenza A in our Region, with a number of other cases being reported around the province.

The symptoms of the flu include fever, chills, cough, sore throat, and muscle and joint pains.

Public Health warns that the infectious period can last two to five days, after the onset of symptoms.
