Crash involving prisoner transport van sends three to hospital

Charges are pending against a transport truck driver OPP say rear-ended a prisoner transport van on the eastbound 401 near Ingersoll.
A male prisoner and two correctional officers were injured in the crash and have since been treated in hospital.
Police allege the Ministry of Correctional Services vehicle was slowing down due to traffic up ahead, when it was struck from behind by the transport on Friday afternoon.
An investigation continues.
