Comey memo says Trump asked to halt Flynn investigation

There’s just no rest at the White House this week.

A day after it was revealed that U.S President Donald Trump disclosed classified information about ISIL to Russia’s foreign minister in last week’s White House meeting, another bombshell report came Tuesday night.

The New York Times reports notes disclosed from recently fired FBI director James Comey claim Trump personally appealed to Comey to shut down his investigation into one-time National Security Adviser Michael Flynn and his contacts with Russia.

The claim is contained in memos Comey had written after his February Oval Office meeting with Trump.

The White House disputes the account.
