Six local players taken in CFL Draft

Six players from both Waterloo universities and the University of Guelph were selected in Sunday’s CFL Draft.

Here’s where those players ended up:

-DB Jordan Hoover of the University of Waterloo went in the fourth round (31st overall) to Edmonton

-LB Nakas Onyeka of Laurier went in the fifth round (36th overall) to the Toronto Argos

-DL Kwaku Boateng of Laurier was a fifth round selection (41st overall) of Edmonton

-WR Jacob Scarfone of Guelph was a sixth round pick (47th overall) of Hamilton

-DL Ian Marouf of Guelph went in the sixth round (50th overall) to Winnipeg

-OL Brett Golding of Laurier was a seventh round selection (58th overall) to Hamilton
