Gerry Remers retiring from Kitchener’s Christie Digital

The President and COO of Christie Digital Systems is ready to retire.

The Kitchener tech company announcing Wednesday morning that Gerry Remers will step down July 8th but will continue on as a special advisor.

Remers has been with Christie Digital for 22 years.

He has also served as the inaugural chair for the Waterloo Region Economic Development Corporation Board and as
United Way of KW’s Executive Campaign Chair and Technology Chair.

Remers was awarded the 2015 Barnraiser Award for community leadership and the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal for Community Service.

Ihor Stech, Executive Vice President of Operations at Christie, will replace Remers as Chief Operating Officer.
