Ontario investing in University of Guelph’s Ontario Veterinary College

The school is getting some significant funding from the province.

Renovations will be done, and a brand new state-of-the-art building will be put up at the College with the $23 million.

It’s part of our province’s plan to give $3 billion in grants to post-secondary schools over 10 years.

Reza Moridi, Minister of Training, Colleges and Universities, says they’re investing in a school with a major pedigree.

“It’s the only veterinary college in the province of Ontario and is one of the top four in the entire world; so we’re very proud of this college and this investment is going to increase the quality of education of our students,” says Moridi.

“This building is going to be a very modern learning space with flexible classrooms, patient simulators, and by patients I mean animals of course in this particular case, and also medical communications lab, interactive learning experiences.”

The building will allow the future veterinarians to have more hands on experience, and much more technology available to them.
