Area youth and seniors working together to eliminate ageism in the community

A local group is celebrating older citizens through story-telling and film while building new intergenerational friendships.
Through the Age is More Film Project, teens produce short films exploring the untold stories of 10 older adults from Victoria Place Retirement Community in Kitchener.
Paul Peel, a senior with the program, shared the story of how he lost an arm trying to rescue someone from drowning.
“I think it teaches them that anything can happen to anybody, and we have to learn to deal with these things.”
The new series of films will be released, on June 5th, in time for Seniors Month.
