PHILADELPHIA – A Philadelphia university says an ice cream deliveryman has been stabbed in the bathroom at a campus dining hall, putting the school on lockdown for 45 minutes.

The victim, in his 30s, was hospitalized with injuries not believed to be life-threatening.

La Salle sent a text alert to students advising them to shelter in place. The suspect was described as a man in his 20s wearing a blue La Salle sweatshirt.

La Salle is a Catholic university with about 4,700 undergraduate students and 2,700 graduate students. Its campus is located in the Logan section.
