THEMUSEUM is “Getting Naked”, new exhibit opens in March

THEMUSEUM in downtown Kitchener will be doing a big reveal next month.

On March 6th, THEMUSEUM will launch its’ “Getting Naked” exhibit.

It will feature 100-plus pieces from The Canadian Council Art Bank. It says many of the artists are Canadian icons, well known for other works, but their nudes have rarely been seen.

THEMUSEUM’s Senior Interpreter of Public Programs, Alyssa Trudeau figures the title alone might draw people in.

“The great part about these pieces is they’ve never been seen together on show…it’s kind of exclusive.”

Trudeau tells 570 News all the pieces at “Getting Naked” will be from Canadian contemporary artists.

“This is a rare opportunity to not only see these incredible works of art, but also have a conversation about why Canadian culture shy’s away from nudity,” said David Marskell, CEO of THEMUSEUM.

“Getting Naked” will run until May 31st.
