Chair of Catholic school board to run for city council

The Chair of the Waterloo Catholic District School Board is stepping down.

Wayne Buchholtz announced the move as he plans to run for Kitchener city council in the municipal election.

He plans to stay on as a trustee until his term expires this fall.

Buchholtz will run in Ward 4.

The other candidates in that ward, so far, are Yvonne Fernandes and Rolf Malthaner.
