A new poll suggests most Canadians who survive heart attacks or strokes don’t do enough to improve their health afterwards.
The online survey done for the Heart and Stroke Foundation found more than half of respondents who needed to eat healthier and start exercising soon quit their new regimes — or never even got started.
Study author, Toronto cardiologist Dr. Beth Abramson, says family and friends can help motivate loved ones to try to ensure the healthier lifestyle changes last.
