Fixter leaving Rangers for Wolves

Associate Coach Paul Fixter is leaving the Kitchener Rangers to pursue the same opportunity with the Sudbury Wolves.

He was with the organization since 2008.

“The Rangers want to recognize Paul’s incredible commitment, not only to our hockey program, but also to the community. In his five years with our club, he has made a significant, positive impact on our players, our staff and the quality of hockey we have been able to offer our fans,” said Rangers General Manager and Head Coach Steve Spott.

Fixter also spent six seasons with the NHL’s Colorado Avalanche, where he won two Stanley Cup championships as a member of the coaching staff in 1996 and 2001.
