The first hybrid being built in Canada is a luxury vehicle.
The Lexus RX 450-h will be built at the Toyota plant in Cambridge.
570 Automotive Specialist Tim Dimopoulos tells 570 News what makes the model unique is that it doesn’t have a lot of competitors on the hybrid side of the mid-sized S-U-V segment.
Dimopoulos describes the RX 450-h as a fuel efficient, roomy, fairly priced vehicle that has a lot of “get up and go.”
He adds Lexus is one of the few companies that makes a decent hybrid S-U-V.
