There was a scuffle on the Hill this week, when First Nations tried to barge into the House of Commons where they wanted their voices to be heard on the government’s omnibus bill.

The National Association of Friendship Centres has a new awareness campaign in the works to help decreases incidences of human trafficking in the Aboriginal community.

Over 100 academics have signed a letter to Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development demanding funding be restored to Aboriginal organizations in the country.

A handful of senators have wrapped up a tour through western Canada. They were looking into human rights issues of off-reserve First Nation members.

The Truth and Reconciliation Commission is taking Ottawa to court.
