Police up presence as hundreds of Hells Angels hold rally in Saskatoon

SASKATOON – Outlaw motorcycle gang Hells Angels are converging on Saskatoon for a rally this week.

Saskatoon police says RCMP and other police forces will be in town as well.

Police spokeswoman Alyson Edwards says members of the Hells Angels were arriving in Saskatoon on Wednesday, and the rally will go through the weekend.

Edwards says the rally might be an opportunity to gain some new information about criminal activity the Hells Angels are involved in, including who they meet while in town.

She says the rally isn’t likely to have much impact on the general public.

Edwards also said this rally is mandatory attendance for members of the gang, and those only happen once every five or six years.
