'SlutWalk' in Waterloo cancelled

Today’s planned ‘SlutWalk’ has been cancelled due to weather.

It’s was scheduled for this afternoon, in protest after a Toronto Police officer made a comment about how women dress, saying how they dress could  affect their chances of being sexually assaulted.

Const. Michael Sanguinetti stated that “women should avoid dressing like sluts in order not to be victimized,”

He has since apologized.

In previous walks, some women have worn bras or skimpy tops during “SlutWalk” marches to prove they can wear what they want.

A new date for the march has yet to be announced.
