Fergus hosts the Scottish Festival

The town of Fergus is full of pipes, plaid and pageantry this weekend.
After a parade to kick off the event last night, the Fergus Scottish Festival and Highland Games is underway. The event runs through to Sunday.
The 3-day festival is in its 65th year, and features a twilight concert, fireworks, heavy competitions, a featured author, dancers, pipe bands, drum competitions, artisans, children’s activities, highland dancers, sword fighting displays and quilting demonstrations.
25,000 people are expected to attend the event.
Tickets vary from 13 to 22 dollars per day. Weekend passes are also available.
