Housing starts decline

A slight decline in housing starts in Waterloo Region last month.
Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation says starts totalled 190 in August down from 236 during the same month last year.
It was only the second month this year in which starts were lower.
CMHC says construction started on 112 single-detached homes last month.
That's down from 134 in August 2009.
Also down were semi-detached, townhome and apartment starts.
